My name is John. I thank you for taking the time to review my ad. I wrote this ad with hopes that I can reach beyond these walls to find friendship and correspondence. I am not seeking money or material gain, just a friend. A person who enjoys writing, someone who can offer me a window to the outside world, and hopefully bring a little sunshine into this dark and dreary hole.
I am serving a live sentence without the possibility of parole. But I’m still fighting to correct this injustice. I have a good heart, I’m intelligent, down to earth, open to all types of general conversations, mature, and I have a great sense of humor. I enjoy studying law, reading history, jogging, chess, basketball, and lifting weights. I’m basically a good person trapped in a bad situation, trying to maintain my humanity.
I have learned a lot of value of true friendship. Prison has taught me the value of a true friend, and given me a whole new outlook on life and a friendship… is like nurturing a flower, once the seeds are planted, with time, water and sunshine, it will grow.
I sincerely understand the beauty of having a friend, just knowing that we have someone to converse with, somebody who cares, somebody to share our inner thoughts, our dreams and our aspirations. Just having a real friend…. To me, is priceless.
So if your open minded, mature, down to earth, with a good sense of humor, open to new friendships, and you understand that time can change the hardest of hearts. I would like to hear from you.
