Hello Friend!
Please allow me to have your attention for just a small moment in time. My name is Paul Watkins and I am currently incarcerated here in San Quentin where I have been since the year of 1992. When I first came here I was only a 23 year old man. To say the least, life here is not always pleasant as you might be able to imagine. For the majority of my time here I have spent these years with virtually no friends or acquaintances that I could communicate with on a friendship or purely social which as it turns out in many ways can only serve to aggravate for further depress the situation as there have been no outlets iindividually available for me to turn to that would allow me to concentrate on things aside from the things that I am unavailable to avoid each day.
Lately I have been trying to change or improve my situation and this is why you are happening to be reading this at this very moment. Life has been extremely difficult here at times and man times the days for me have been very dark like the day when I tragically lost my sister who was practically my best friend and only a year older than I am.
My hope is to replace the darkness that I sometimes feel here for very, very many reasons with very much and very great happiness and I believe that this happiness that I am searching for can be found with winning true friendships and this is what I am searching for. If this is something that you feel that you are willing to hare with me I feel that this is a very special and unique quality that you possess and I promise you that I will always be a great friend to you. I will be a very caring and devoted friend to you and this could be a friendship that last us for a very long time. FOREVER IN MY EYES!
