NSP’S rules regarding what
this institution allows to be received through the mail:
Photos: 10 photos per envelop, no bigger than 5x7; No
duplicate photos in the same envelop; Nude photos allowed, but no penetration,.
Also, all nude photos must have inmates name+# number on the back, written by
sender.
Supplies: no stamps or writing material
Visitation: A visitation form first has to be sent into the
visitation officer, for all visitors over the age of 18, from the inmate with
the information on the form filled out regarding their visitor; Name, Age, how
long you’ve known the person, relationship, friend etc., 6 if the persons even
been arrested. After the form is received by the visitation room officer, from
the inmate, he/ she processes it by sending the visitor an application/ form to
be filled out, name, age etc., & once this is filled out & returned to
the visitation room officer, they process it & usually within 6-8 weeks
after they receive the form back it’s either approved or denied & then they
notify the visitor by mail, ( upon approval they will usually send and approved
list of what clothing a visitor can & cannot wear when visitation ) &
they notify the inmate by memo that the visitor has been approved. $ 20.00 in
quarters, can be brought in with the visitor, per day, in a clear plastic bag
or clear purse for use in vending machines. Minor children are allowed in when
accompanied by the adult parent or guardian, but have to proper identification
& possibly a birth certification, which will be copied & placed into
the inmates visitation file for future reference. A kiss at the start & end
of visit is allowed & hand holding. Board games, cards, children books
& some toys are available.
