What are you allowed to send your pen pal?

Rules for pen-friends in a Federal Penitentiary in the United States would probably not vary; and would consist of the following at least ( for now ).
1. No nude photos (allowed to receive 25 photos at one time )
2. No stamps to be sent via mail, no writing materials or any type of care packages
3. Do not try to send anything in the envelopes other than letters , leaflets, photos;
4. Do not send money directly to inmates ( in the Federal system ) a separate address is necessary for that if desired. Money can be sent by postal money order of Foreign negotiable instrument in US. Dollars. No personal check.
5. Books, magazines must all be sent from the publisher ( 6 at a time )
Visitation: Visitation is available but individuals must be approved prior to visit, color code; no tan khakis, no overly revealing clothing….

(It’s always best to write and ask each individual for their prison rules before sending items.)

Allow:
- writing material 1-tablet, 15 sheets of color paper or art paper, 15 sheets of stationary, 40 or less emboss envelope or 40 or less stamps and plain envelops, 5 plain greeting cards in each sent letter.
- 15 pictures in each letter, please no Polaroid pictures or nudity.
