What are you allowed to send your pen pal?

Photos: They are able to receive “photos” up to 25 per envelop, 4x6 or smaller, 8x10 are ok. As well NO POLAROID PICTURE ALLOWED, no nude photos are allowed or photos depicting sexual activity or gang or terrorist activities, photos depicting weapons or codes or signals relating to such activity.

Stickers: are not allowed on the letters on envelops.

Publication: are allowed. Can be ordered from internet sites such as amazon.com or barnes&nobles.

Books: hard and paperback, soft cover, magazine, subscriptions, newspapers but the sender must arrange these articles they must come from the publisher or distributor.

Stamps: Not allowed.

Items: Items such as religious medals, handkerchiefs, wallets eye glasses are allowed but are acquired through special purchase by the Warden / Programs / or the Chaplain. You can not send this items without approval.

Money: Only U.S. currency is accepted and only in check or money order forms. Never mail money in an envelope it will be rejected and worse it could be lost or stolen and unable to trace.
All inmate mail is screened at this facility it is not read, but mail room workers open all personal letters and inspect them for contraband. And money receive inmates is placed in the inmate account. This facility uses a debit card system ( cashless facility ) that went into effect Aug of 2005.
Inmates are allowed to spend $40.00 per week for canteen purchase to buy hygiene products, snacks, hot sandwiches, sodas and pre-stamped envelopes and stationary.
