California
Eric Bechler
I am Eric Bechler, a native of Long Beach, California. I won an NROTC scholarshi to Northwestern University and was a midshipman in the USMCR. I transferred back to California after my freshman year because I missed the be ach and graduated from Uc Irvine and made Newport Beach my home.
In 1991 I met Pegye Marshall at the beach where I played volleyball. We were married after a year in Fussen, Germany in King Ludwig's most famous castle called Neuschanstien.
We had three wonderful children, Bryelle, Brenyn and Brodryk. I miss them very, very much.
Pegye and I built a very succssful rehab company providing physical, occupational, and speech therapy in facilities all over California and eventually other states. We sold the business in 1996 in a friendly merger and remained on as executives in the acquiring company.
We had the dream life until a tragic boating accident in 1997. While celebrating Pegye's birthday and our postponed aniversary, Pegye fell overboard while drivng the boat. I was in the water on a boogie board trying to knee board and wiped out. When I surfaced the boat was spinning out of control and though I called for Pegye, I never heard or saw her again.
Many bad decisions and poor choices of associates later, I now find myself in a maximum security prison, wrongfully convicted of a crime that never occurred. What was a horribly tragic boating accident has become anunreal nightmare, a devastating conviction for a murder that never occurred.
I'm now fighting with the help of my family and friends to prove my innocence and regain my freedom. Thank you for taking a moment of your time to visit my page and read my story.
